This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile and desktop application Mediary (“the App”) handles information when you use it. The App is designed so that your watch history and related content stay primarily on your device.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to users of Mediary. If you install or use the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Information stored on your device

The App stores data locally on your device, including for example:

• Titles you log (movies, TV series, anime, and similar), notes, ratings, dates, and related metadata you choose to save;
• Poster images and artwork cached for offline display;
• Application settings (for example display preferences);
• If you choose to provide one, a The Movie Database (TMDB) API key, stored in the app’s local preferences on your device.

We do not operate a Mediary user account system in the App that sends your watch list to our own servers as part of normal use. Data export/import features, if you use them, are initiated by you (for example saving a file you control).

3. Network requests and third parties

When you use features that fetch metadata or artwork, the App may contact third-party services over the internet, including:

• TMDB (The Movie Database) — to retrieve public catalog information and images. Requests may include your TMDB API key when you have configured one. TMDB’s terms and privacy practices apply to their service. See: TMDB Privacy Policy.

Those providers may process technical data typical of HTTP requests (such as IP address and timestamps) according to their own policies.

4. Photos and files you choose

If you use features that attach images or import/export files, the App accesses only the content you select. Such content remains under your control unless you explicitly share it outside the App.

5. Analytics, advertising, and children

The App does not include third-party advertising SDKs described in this repository, and it does not sell your personal information. The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us using the details below.

6. Security

We rely on the security of your device and operating system. You should keep your device updated and protect any backups or exports you create.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
